Detour for routes 87, 680 and N8 from October 12 through December 4 due to N233 roadworks

Detour for routes 87, 680 and N8

From October 12 through December 4, 2026, roadworks will take place on the N233 between Rhenen and Veenendaal. As a result, routes 87, 680 and night bus N8 will follow a modified route during different periods.

As roadworks will also take place in Veenendaal, the detour route will change several times. Below, you can see which stops are cancelled for each route and where you can board instead.

Route 87 Rhenen – Veenendaal De Klomp

October 12 through October 19, 5:00 a.m.

  • Route: Route 87 travels via Elst (N225 and N416) to Veenendaal and vice versa.
  • Cancelled stops: Anemoonstraat, Anjerlaan, Valleiweg, Ribeslaan, Achterbergse Poort, Geertesteeg, Klein Dikkenberg and Koesteeg.
  • (Temporary) boarding stops: The existing Platanenlaan stops in Rhenen and Prattenburglaan in Veenendaal.

October 19 through October 21, 5:00 a.m.

  • Route: Route 87 travels via Elst (N225 and N416) to Veenendaal and vice versa.
  • Cancelled stops: Anemoonstraat, Anjerlaan, Valleiweg, Ribeslaan, Achterbergse Poort, Geertesteeg, Klein Dikkenberg, Koesteeg, Prattenburglaan, Robijnenbosweg, Franjezwam and Woonboulevard.
  • (Temporary) boarding stops: The existing Platanenlaan stops in Rhenen and the Bergweg stop (route 350) and Station Centrum/Plein stops in Veenendaal.

October 21 through October 23, 7:00 p.m.

  • Route: After the Achterbergse Poort stop, route 87 travels via the parallel road (Cuneraweg) to Veenendaal and vice versa.
  • Cancelled stops: Geertesteeg, Klein Dikkenberg, Koesteeg, Prattenburglaan, Robijnenbosweg and Franjezwam.
  • (Temporary) boarding stops: The existing Achterbergse Poort stops in Rhenen and a temporary stop on De Smalle Zijde in Veenendaal.

October 23, 7:00 p.m. through October 26, 5:00 a.m.

  • Route: After the Achterbergse Poort stop, route 87 travels via the parallel road (Cuneraweg) to Veenendaal and vice versa.
  • Cancelled stops: Geertesteeg, Klein Dikkenberg and Koesteeg.
  • (Temporary) boarding stops: The existing Achterbergse Poort stops in Rhenen and Prattenburglaan in Veenendaal.

October 26 through November 7, 2:00 a.m.

  • Route: After the Platanenlaan stop, route 87 travels via Nieuwe Veenendaalseweg to Veenendaal and vice versa.
  • Cancelled stops: Anemoonstraat, Anjerlaan, Valleiweg, Ribeslaan, Achterbergse Poort, Geertesteeg, Klein Dikkenberg and Koesteeg.
  • (Temporary) boarding stops: The existing Platanenlaan stops in Rhenen and Prattenburglaan in Veenendaal, or the temporary stop on Geertesteeg.

November 7 through December 5, 2:00 a.m.

  • Route: After the Platanenlaan stop, route 87 travels via Nieuwe Veenendaalseweg to Veenendaal and vice versa.
  • Cancelled stops: Anemoonstraat, Anjerlaan, Valleiweg, Ribeslaan and Achterbergse Poort.
  • (Temporary) boarding stops: The existing Platanenlaan and Geertesteeg stops in Rhenen.

Route 680 Amersfoort - Rhenen and N8 Utrecht - Wageningen

  • Route: After the Achterbergse Poort stop, routes 680 and N8 travel via the parallel road (Cuneraweg) to Veenendaal and vice versa.
  • Cancelled stops: Geertesteeg, Klein Dikkenberg and Koesteeg.

  • Route: Routes 680 and N8 travel via N225, Paardenveld, Nieuwe Veenendaalseweg and Geertesteeg, then via the parallel road (Cuneraweg) to Veenendaal and vice versa.
  • Cancelled stops: Achterbergse Poort, Geertesteeg, Klein Dikkenberg and Koesteeg.
  • (Temporary) boarding stops: The existing Station/Tuinlaan stops in Rhenen and Rhenendael in Veenendaal, or the temporary stop on Geertesteeg.

November 7 through December 5, 2:00 a.m.
