Children’s Group Ticket

You get:

Valid for all U-OV buses and trams within the province of Utrecht
Return trip on the same day in the off peak hours (return trips on weekends are not restricted to any time slot).
Valid for a total of 15 children (4 to 12 years of age) and 3 adults accompanying the group.

Where can you travel? 

With the Children's Group Ticket a group of a total of 18 passengers can travel with all buses and trams operated by U-OV within the province of Utrecht. The perfect ticket for small groups, class excursions, after school daycare or children’s parties.  

When is this ticket valid? 

The Children’s Group Ticket is valid during off peak hours from Monday to Friday and all day on weekends: 

  • Monday to Friday: from 09:00 to 16:00 and after 18:30 until end of day.
  • Weekends: All day long

This ticket is valid for a return trip on the same day. A trip can take no longer than 60 minutes, within this time slot you are permitted to transfer to a different bus or tram operated by U-OV. 

How to purchase this ticket? 

This ticket can be purchased through the U-OV app, available from both App Store and Google Play store.

The Children's Group Ticket costs €34.50.

How to travel with this ticket?

With the Children's Group Ticket, you travel together with up to 15 children (aged 4 to 12) and 3 adult supervisors. You can easily buy the ticket in the U-OV app.

Please note: after purchase, the ticket isn't active yet. Activate the e-ticket yourself on the day you're going to travel. After that, you check in and out together using one shared barcode, on the bus or at the tram stop.

A few more things to keep in mind:

  • The ticket isn't valid on the buurtbus, wijkbus, nachtbus, or U-flex.
  • Like other e-tickets, the Children's Group Ticket is device-bound: it only works on one device.

Did you know that each adult can take up to 3 children (4 to 12 years old) with you on the bus for free? Depending on the distance you’ll be travelling, this might be the cheaper option.
