MyU-OV
U-OV is the public transport operator in the province of Utrecht. Our buses and trams get you to your destination easily and hassle-free. We offer different types of transport, each with its own advantages, but all with the same goal: helping you on your way comfortably and safely.
Our yellow buses can be seen everywhere, both in the city and the surrounding region. From busy city routes to peak-time services, from large buses to smaller vehicles: for each route, we choose what works best, so you can travel with ease.
U-bus operates on the following routes:
With U-flex, you travel whenever it suits you. You share the ride with others who are heading in the same direction. The route is planned smartly so you reach your destination quickly. Booking is required and can easily be done via the U-OV app or by phone. You can read more about U-flex here.
The blue U-liner is designed for longer distances. Here you can enjoy extra comfort: luxury seats, plenty of legroom and handy details such as a coat hook. Want to work or relax? You can, with the multimedia console featuring wireless charging, a USB port and a reading light.
To make your travel time even more enjoyable, when you travel with our U-liner you get free access to WAIT. In this app you’ll find more than 1,500 magazines, 250 books and 750 audiobooks!
Step 1: Download the WAIT-app in the App store (Apple) or Play Store (Android).
Step 2: Enjoy all the reading material as soon as you’re waiting at one of our U-liner stops or comfortably seated on board.
With the orange-and-yellow U-link buses you travel extra fast in and around the cities. These buses run frequently, including in the evenings and at weekends. Each U-link route has its own colour in our travel information, so you can recognise the right line at a glance.
With the tram you travel quickly and comfortably between Nieuwegein, IJsselstein, P+R, Utrecht Central Station, Galgenwaard and Utrecht Science Park. Thanks to the high frequency, you’re always on your way in no time. A tram can carry twice as many passengers as a bus, so there’s more space and a more pleasant journey.
Tram lines 20 / 21 / 22: Nieuwegein / IJsselstein – Utrecht Science Park via Utrecht Central Station
The community (Buurtbus) and neighbourhood (wijkbus) buses makes it easy to travel through villages and smaller communities. Enthusiastic local volunteers are behind the wheel and know the area well. This way, you can easily get to the town centre, station or your appointment – especially in places where larger buses don’t go. You can find more information about the neighbourhood and district bus here.
