MyU-OV
With the U-OV app, you always have the most up-to-date travel information at your fingertips. You can track delays, disruptions and the live location of your bus and tram. Save your favourite stops, view promotions and easily purchase an e-ticket.
you can easily book a bus throughout the province of Utrecht via U-flex, U-OV’s flexible transport service. U-flex only runs when and where you need it. You book a trip from bus stop to stop, with no fixed timetable. This way, you travel quickly, efficiently and at a time that suits you.
U-flex is on-demand public transport. You share the ride with other passengers who are heading in the same direction. The route is planned smartly so that you reach your destination as quickly as possible. It is not a fixed line, but tailor-made transport.
U-flex operates Monday to Friday from 6 a.m. to 12:30 a.m. the following day. On Saturdays from 7 a.m. to 12:30 a.m. the following day and on Sundays from 8 a.m. to 12:30 a.m. the following day. In the evening, a journey may therefore start until 12:30 a.m.
Do you book and pay in advance in the app? Then you pay for the number of kilometres you travel: a boarding fee plus an amount per kilometre.
Did you make a reservation by telephone and/or pay in the U-flex vehicle with your debit card or public transport chip card? Then you pay a fixed amount per trip. The amount varies per U-flex area. Below you will find the areas and rates. Your subscription or discount product is also valid in the vehicle.
Want to book a U-flex bus in Utrecht? Soon, this will be possible via the U-OV app and by phone up to 1 hour before departure by calling 0900 – 835 39. If you want to transfer to a train or tram, please indicate this when booking. That way, we can ensure a good connection.

Yes, all U-flex buses are equipped with seatbelts. So you can travel safely and comfortably!
We create a schedule that considers all travelers as much as possible. You will be picked up no more than 10 minutes earlier or later than you specified.
Children aged 4 to 11 travel free when accompanied by an adult. Children up to 3 years always travel free on public transport. A maximum of 3 children aged 4 to 11 can travel free per adult. Note: you must book a ticket for each child.
Yes, if you travel with a personal public transport chip card and are entitled to an age discount, or if you have activated the age discount on your debit card, you will also receive an age discount on U-Flex.
Don't worry. The driver knows you want to board and will wait until the scheduled time. Just make sure to be on time, especially if other passengers need to catch a connection.
A maximum of 5 passengers and 1 wheelchair user can travel. Are there more passengers? Then we will deploy an additional vehicle. In Woerden and Mijdrecht, 8 passengers can travel.
Yes, it can. We always consider your transfer preference.
Yes, of course. Please indicate when booking that you are traveling with a wheelchair. We will then provide a suitable vehicle. The driver will assist you with boarding and exiting.
You will be given sufficient time to transfer to a train, bus or tram. In the event of a delay, U-flex will wait for up to 5 minutes. Sometimes the driver may wait longer if this does not cause any inconvenience to other passengers. If you miss your ride due to a delay, you can make a new reservation.
Yes, if your student travel rights are active on your OV-chipkaart, you can travel free with U-flex.

When booking by telephone, you pay in the vehicle by checking in and out with your public transport chip card or debit card. Are you booking via the U-OV app? Then you can pay with iDeal.
No, you only pay the boarding fare once. This also applies if you transfer to or from another bus or tram.
Yes, you can pay with iDeal in the U-OV app.
Do you check in and out with your payment card? Then you can request a claim overview in the OVpay app. If you travel with your OV-chipkaart, you can request a travel data overview via OV-chipkaart.nl.
Reservations can be made via the U-OV app or by telephone. Both options are available.
You must book at least 1 hour before departure. Earlier bookings are also possible: up to 28 days in advance. Approximately 20 minutes before departure, you will receive a message with the definitive times.
Yes, you will be able to, both through the app and by phone.
Only if you are traveling with someone who has a reservation and there is still space available. Note: if there are no reservations, no vehicle will run.
We try to combine trips to keep costs low. That’s why you might be picked up a bit earlier or later than you indicated. You will always receive a message 20 minutes in advance with the definite times.
