Adjusted timetable near Vianen due to A2 roadwork

Rijkswaterstaat will work on the A2 between Everdingen and Oudenrijn junctions starting Friday evening, April 3. The lane toward Utrecht will get new asphalt. This will temporarily change the timetable of several bus lines around Vianen.

U-OV lijn 85 (towards Utrecht)

From 3 April, bus line 85 towards Utrecht will follow a diverted route for six weekends. This applies at the following times:

Friday 3 April, 10.00 pm – Monday 6 April, 5.00 am
Friday 10 April, 10.00 pm – Monday 13 April, 5.00 am
Friday 17 April, 10.00 pm – Monday 20 April, 5.00 am
Friday 24 April, 10.00 pm – Monday 27 April, 5.00 am
Friday 1 May, 10.00 pm – Monday 4 May, 5.00 am
Friday 8 May, 10.00 pm – Monday 11 May, 05.00 am

What does this mean for travelers?

Towards Utrecht, line 85 does not run via Vianen and does not stop at Lekbrug Bus Station. The travel time will be longer due to the diversion route.
Towards Leerdam, line 85 will run via Vianen and will stop as usual at Lekbrug Bus Station.

U-OV lines 65, 74 and 90

The Lek Bridge towards Nieuwegein is closed on:

Friday, April 3, 10:00 PM – Monday, April 6, 5:00 AM
Friday, May 8, 10:00 PM – Saturday, May 9, 11:00 AM

This will have the following impact at those times:

U-OV line 65

Runs towards Nieuwegein and Utrecht via the A27.
From Augustinushof stop, the bus goes directly to Nieuwegein Berkstraat.
Passengers from Vianen to Utrecht board on the opposite side.
Passengers at Waterbies and ’t Veerhuis stops travel via Waterlelie or take the tram from Nieuwegein Zuid.

U-OV line 74

Runs towards Nieuwegein and Utrecht via the A27.
From Verzorgingscentrum Batenstein stop, the bus goes directly to Nieuwegein Waterlelie.
Passengers at Ruinkamp and Hoeufftlaan stops travel by bus towards Hoef en Haag.
Passengers at Waterbies and ’t Veerhuis travel via Waterlelie or take the tram from Nieuwegein Zuid.

U-OV line 90 (from 8 PM)

Does not run via Lekbrug West and Lekbrug Oost.
Stops during closures: Hotel Vianen (Prins Bernhardstraat) and a temporary stop at Bentz Berg.

The works also affect buses operated by other carriers in the region.
