Enjoy the Loosdrechtse Plassen on Sundays too

Want to enjoy the Loosdrechtse Plassen, rent a boat, or have a nice ice cream by the water? You can now, even on Sundays. From May 3, bus line 121 runs hourly on Sundays between Loenen aan de Vecht and Hilversum. This summer, we’ll take you to the Loosdrechtse Plassen every day!

Easy travel to the Loosdrechtse Plassen

The bus stops at key locations at the Loosdrechtse Plassen, including the marinas Scherpel, Het Anker, and Piet Hein. You pay your fare simply by checking in and out with your debit card, the new OV pass, or OV-chip card. Coming from farther away? Change lines at picturesque Loenen aan de Vecht from line 120 (Amsterdam - Utrecht) to line 121 to the Loosdrechtse Plassen. Let the driver know you want to transfer.

VechtplassenExpress

Want to travel further to De Strook, Boomhoek, or Kromme Rading? Then book the VechtplassenExpress. This is a small bus you must book one hour in advance. The VechtplassenExpress runs on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, taking you from 6 pickup points to 10 recreational spots in the Loosdrechtse Plassengebied. For more info, visit gvexpress.nl.

Trial

The Loosdrechtse Plassen are a popular destination, especially in summer. In last year’s traveler survey, we proposed running line 121 on Sundays. 97% of respondents agreed. That’s why we’re starting this trial now. The trial runs until Sunday, August 30. Afterwards, we’ll check how many passengers traveled by bus on Sundays. If interest is enough, the bus may run on Sundays permanently next year.
