Hands off U-OV employees

During the night of 11 to 12 February, a violent incident took place on one of our buses. Unfortunately, this is not the first incident in which U-OV employees have been attacked, spat on, or threatened. Bus service has been below standard since 14 December. We take full responsibility for that. We are working hard on improvements, but due to the complexity of the issues, this is unfortunately taking more time than we would like.

We understand that the current situation is frustrating for our passengers. Unfortunately, that frustration is increasingly being taken out on our drivers and other employees, because they are the first point of contact. As a result, they are confronted with unpleasant remarks, verbal aggression, intimidation, or worse. And yet, our employees cannot do anything about the current situation. In fact, they too are affected by the situation and are frustrated by it themselves!

Therefore, we ask you to be patient and continue to treat each other and our employees with respect.
