With U-OV Max you can travel easily and cheaply every day on all U-OV buses and trams in the province of Utrecht. You don’t need to buy a separate ticket or season pass – just check in and out with your debit card, credit card, mobile phone or the new OV-pas (OVpay).
If you travel less, you also pay less. No registration needed: just check in and go!
You’ll pay no more than € 10,00 (or € 6,50) per day if you:

U-OV Max is only valid on daytime lines. Night buses are not included. For a journey on the night bus you pay a fixed fare of € 5,00.

No. At the end of each day, your journeys are added up to a maximum of € 10,00 (or € 6,50) and then debited from your account.

No. For U-OV Max, only trips made with the same card will be tallied up. A physical card and a mobile card are not the same, even if they’re linked to the same bank account.

You don’t need to activate anything. As long as you always check in and out with the same payment card, U-OV Max (day) works automatically.
Are you between 12 and 18 years old? Then register once for free via OVpay, activate age-based discount and after that you’ll travel for a maximum of € 6,50 per day.
U-OV Max is valid on all U-OV daytime lines, from the start to the end of service. Night lines are not included. U-OV Max is valid on lines 90 and 395 operated by U-OV, but not with Qbuzz.
Your fare is calculated including age-based discount. That way, your total is capped at a maximum of € 10,00 per day. Are you between 12 and 18 years old? Then your maximum is € 6,50 per day.
To make use of this age discount, you must first link your payment card once for free via your personal myU-OV account. The daily cap of € 6,50 does not yet work in combination with the new OV-pas.
Then the amount for that day is recalculated, again up to a maximum of € 10,00 (or € 6,50).
Yes. You must always check in and out, even if you’re travelling for free for the rest of the day. Otherwise you may receive a fine.
